Instant pot Steak and Potatoes
Description
Steak slices are layered under a mixture of vinegar and A1 sauce seasoned with steak seasoning inside the pressure cooker, topped by sliced onions. Beef stock adds moisture for pressure cooking. Potatoes diced and seasoned with garlic, salt, pepper, and butter are enclosed in foil and placed on top for steaming during cooking.
The pressure cooker’s 20-minute cycle tenderizes the steak and cooks potatoes thoroughly. Upon releasing the pressure, the potatoes are tossed with butter and seasonings to coat. The steak is served with cooked onions, offering a balanced meal.
This dish pairs well with green vegetables or can be extended economically by serving alongside rice. The use of vinegar and sauce layers acidity and umami to enrich the meat’s flavor within a relatively short cooking time.
