Instant Pot Taco Meat

Report
Instant Pot Taco Meat is a simple ground beef recipe cooked with salsa, taco seasoning, and water pressure-cooked for tender, flavorful meat. The pressure cooker speeds up cooking while infusing spices and salsa flavors. After cooking, the meat is broken up and simmered to reduce excess liquid, ready to use in tacos, burritos, or other Mexican dishes.

Description

This recipe for Instant Pot Taco Meat starts with placing raw lean ground beef in the Instant Pot. Salsa and taco seasoning are added along with water poured around the beef. The pressure cooker is sealed and set to cook high pressure for 15 minutes, then quickly released. The cooked meat is then broken apart and if needed, the sauté function is used to evaporate extra liquid for a thicker texture.

The method yields ground beef infused with the vibrant flavors of salsa and the seasoning blend, resulting in juicy yet well-seasoned taco meat. Cooking under pressure tenderizes the meat quickly and evenly.

This taco meat is ready to serve in your favorite tortillas with toppings such as cheese, lettuce, and sour cream. It can also be used in burritos, tacos bowls, or nachos.

If using frozen ground beef, increase the pressure cook time to 20 minutes with quick release. Leftovers can be refrigerated and reheated gently.
