Italian Sausage Pasta in Instant Pot
Description
This recipe uses Premio Italian chicken sausage browned with sautéed onion, bell pepper, and garlic to build a savory base. Thyme and paprika add warmth and depth. Uncooked pasta is combined with liquids and crushed tomatoes, then pressure cooked in the Instant Pot, which tenderizes the pasta and melds flavors quickly.
The final step involves stirring in mozzarella cheese to add richness and creaminess. Parmesan and chopped parsley garnish complete the dish with salty and fresh notes. The cooking method supports hands-off preparation without sacrificing flavor.
Italian Sausage Pasta can be served as a main meal on its own due to its combination of protein, vegetables, and starch. The recipe notes suggest variations like adding mushrooms or spinach for more vegetables. Alternative cooking methods include baking as a casserole or stovetop simmering, both adaptable from the core ingredients.
