Ingredients
- 10 lices Bacon chopped
- 16 ounces cream cheese softened
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 cup grated sharp cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 3 whole jalapeños finely diced (ribs and seeds removed)
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- 4 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- finely diced parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F. Spray a baking dish with nonstick spray and set aside.
- Start by cooking the bacon. You can place the chopped bacon in a skillet until cooked through and drained on a paper towel lined plate, or bake it in the oven.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the bacon, cream cheese, mayo, sour cream, the cheddar, jalapenos, 1/4 cup parmesan, garlic powder, ground cumin, and onion powder. Mix until it's fully combined.
- In a separate bowl, combine the melted butter, breadcrumbs, and remaining Parmesan until the breadcrumbs are fully coated.
- Pour the cheese mixture into the baking dish and spread out evenly.
- Top the cheese mixture with an even layer of the breadcrumb mixture.
- Bake for 20 minutes, until hot and bubbly.
- Turn the oven to broil and broil for 2-3 minutes, just until the breadcrumbs are browned.
- Remove from the oven and serve with your favorite dippers.
Notes
- Use freshly grated cheese. Pre-shredded cheese has an anti-caking agent on it that prevents it from melting as well.
- If you want to get a nice browned top let it broil after baking for about 1-2 minutes.
- To make this spicier, leave the ribs and seeds in. You can also add additional jalapenos for extra spice.
