Jalapeno Hot Sauce Recipe

This Jalapeno Hot Sauce combines chopped jalapeno peppers with onion, garlic, white vinegar, lime juice, and salt to create a smooth, tangy hot sauce. Simmered gently to meld flavors without darkening its color, it delivers a fresh, vibrant heat balanced by acidity, suitable for adding spice to many dishes.

Description

The Jalapeno Hot Sauce Recipe uses fresh chopped jalapeno peppers blended with onion and garlic for a punch of heat and savory depth. White vinegar and lime juice provide a vibrant acidity that brightens the sauce. After blending until smooth, the mixture is simmered gently to marry the flavors while preserving the sauce’s color. It can be strained for a smoother texture if preferred. The balance of heat, tang, and fresh ingredients makes this sauce a versatile condiment for grilled meats, tacos, or as a zesty dipping sauce.

The method involves blending all ingredients until smooth, then simmering gently for about 10 minutes to allow flavors to combine. Cooling and letting the sauce rest enhances its taste. Adjustments to salt or lime juice can be made after cooking to taste.

The recipe yields about 1.5 cups of sauce unstrained, which can be bottled and stored for regular use.
