Jalapeño Popper Dip
Description
Jalapeño Popper Dip brings together diced jalapeños with cream cheese, sour cream, cheddar, and Parmesan cheeses for a rich and spicy dip. The creamy mixture is spread in an 8x8 inch baking dish and covered with a topping of panko breadcrumbs, butter, parsley, and additional Parmesan before baking at 375°F until hot and golden on top. The panko topping crisps to provide texture contrast against the smooth, cheesy dip beneath. This preparation is primarily a baked appetizer or party dip.
The combination of spiciness from the jalapeños and the sharpness of both cheddar and Parmesan cheese creates a balanced flavor profile. Baking melds the flavors and crisps the topping, making it appealing for casual gatherings or snack time. The dip pairs well with crunchy dippers such as tortilla chips, crackers, or sliced baguette to add additional texture and make for easy serving.
Leftovers store well refrigerated up to five days in an airtight container. Reheating is possible by microwave in short bursts or baking in an oven to restore warmth and texture. This dip's creamy base and crisp topping hold up well to reheating.
