Description
This dip combines softened cream cheese and either mayonnaise or sour cream whipped until smooth, providing a creamy base. Shredded cheddar cheese, fresh diced jalapeños (with ribs and seeds removed if a milder heat is desired), and cooked crumbled bacon are mixed in to create layers of cheesy, spicy, and smoky flavors.
Once assembled in a baking dish, a crumbly topping made from panko breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan, and melted butter is sprinkled over the dip. Baking at 400°F for 10 to 15 minutes produces a golden, crunchy crust that contrasts the creamy filling beneath.

Ingredients
- 1 oz cream cheese softened, block
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise I'm more of a sour cream fan!, or sour cream
- 1 1/2 cups cheddar cheese shredded
- 1/2 cup jalapeño remove the ribs of the peppers if you prefer a mild dip, diced, seeds removed, fresh
- 1/2 cup Bacon cooked crumbled
- 3/4 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup Parmesan Cheese grated
- 1/4 cup butter melted
- optional garnishes: crumbled cooked bacon, chopped cilantro, sliced jalapenos

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
- Place the cream cheese and mayonnaise or sour cream in a large bowl.
- Beat with a mixer until smooth.
- Add in the cheddar cheese, bacon and jalapenos.
- Beat with a mixer until thoroughly combined, about 1 minute.
- Coat a small baking dish with cooking spray. The baking dish should have a capacity of at least 3 cups.
- Spoon the cream cheese mixture into the baking dish, smooth the top with a spoon.
- In a small bowl mix together the panko breadcrumbs, parmesan cheese and butter until thoroughly combined.
- Sprinkle the panko mixture on top of the dip.
- Bake for 10-15 minutes or until top is golden brown.
- Garnish with bacon, sliced jalapenos and chopped cilantro if desired, and serve immediately.
