Jalapeno Popper Egg Rolls
Description
This recipe combines halved and seeded jalapeños filled with a blend of cream cheese, shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheese, cooked bacon pieces, garlic powder, and salt. The seasoned filling delivers a creamy and savory bite with a subtle kick from the jalapeños. Each stuffed pepper half is wrapped tightly in egg roll wrappers, sealed with water, and cooked until crisp. The cooking methods include air frying for 5 to 10 minutes at 400°F, deep frying for about 5 minutes until golden, or baking on a foil-lined sheet pan for 10 to 15 minutes with a flip halfway through. This variety allows for adapting to available kitchen equipment or desired crispness. The final result is a crunchy, golden egg roll exterior paired with a melty cheese filling and a mild heat from the jalapeño, combining textures and flavors in a convenient handheld form. These egg rolls work well as appetizers or party snacks, offering a combination of cheese, bacon, and jalapeño heat.
