Instructions
- Cut the bacon into bite sized pieces. Pan fry on medium heat for about 5-8 minutes or until cooked through. Drain on a paper towel lined plate.
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Carefully use a knife to cut a grid into the top of the bread (¾ of the way through the bread). Be careful not to cut through the bottom of the bread.
- In a small bowl, combine the diced jalapenos, cream cheese, ¾ cup of cheddar cheese, ¾ cup of mozzarella cheese, green onion, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Mix until thoroughly combined.
- Use a knife or spoon to spread the cheese mixture into the cut sections of the bread. Place pieces of bacon in the cut sections of the bread.
- Brush the loaf of bread with garlic butter and loosely cover with foil. Bake in the oven for 10 minutes.
- Remove from oven and remove the foil. Top with the remaining cheddar and mozzarella cheese. Bake uncovered until cheese melts, approximately 5 minutes.
- Optional: garnish with more green onions and/or jalapenos. Enjoy!
