Jalapeno Popper Wonton Cups

Jalapeno Popper Wonton Cups combine crispy baked wonton wrappers with a creamy filling of cream cheese, sour cream, garlic, diced jalapenos, cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon, and green onions. The wonton cups serve as bite-sized vessels that hold the flavorful filling, which is baked until golden and bubbly. These cups offer a balanced mix of heat from the jalapenos and savory richness from the cheese and bacon, making them a handy appetizer or snack.

Description

The Jalapeno Popper Wonton Cups feature wonton wrappers baked to a light crisp before being filled with a creamy blend of softened cream cheese, sour cream, minced garlic, diced jalapenos, shredded cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon, and chopped green onions. After filling, the cups are baked again until the cheese melts and the edges turn golden brown, providing a textural contrast between the crispy wonton and the rich, spicy filling. The use of fresh or diced jalapenos adds a noticeable but controllable heat element, while the cooked bacon complements the creaminess with smoky notes.

This recipe allows for a convenient and shareable presentation, serving well as finger food for gatherings or parties. The small size of the wonton cups makes portion control easy and allows for sampling the bold flavors without overwhelming the palate. They can be served warm shortly after baking for best texture and flavor.
