Jugo Verde (Mexican Green Juice)

Jugo Verde is a refreshing Mexican green juice combining green apple, celery, pineapple, cucumber, mint, and lime juice blended with water. This juice blends crisp, slightly sweet, and herbal flavors into a smooth drink. Optional sweeteners and garnishes like lime slices or pineapple enhance the bright, fresh nature of the beverage. It can be customized with various greens and fruits for a nutrient-rich start to the day.

Description

Jugo Verde (Mexican Green Juice) uses green apple and pineapple to bring natural sweetness balanced by the grassy and crisp flavors of celery, cucumber, and fresh mint leaves. Lime juice adds a bright acidity that lifts the blend. The juice achieves a smoothie-like consistency by blending all ingredients with water, making it easily drinkable and hydrating.

The recipe allows for flexibility, with additional leafy greens like spinach, swiss chard, kale, or green lettuce often included for added nutrients. Optional ingredients such as nopales (cactus paddles), parsley, carrots, beets, or chia seeds can further modify the flavor and texture.

Served over ice, Jugo Verde offers a cooling, revitalizing drink suitable for mornings or warm days. Adjust sweetness to taste with your preferred sweetener to balance tartness and herbal notes.
