Kaffir Lime Syrup
Description
Kaffir Lime Syrup combines equal parts granulated sugar and water heated to a simmer with a handful of kaffir lime leaves steeping to release their fragrant oils. Once removed from heat, the leaves infuse the syrup as it cools, capturing their distinctive sharp and floral citrus notes.
The resulting syrup is sweet with a complex lime aroma ideal for enhancing cocktails, mocktails, tea, or drizzling over desserts. It provides a refreshing, herbal citrus flavor unlike regular lime juice or zest.
The syrup can be refrigerated in a sealed container for up to one week. Use chilled or at room temperature to complement dishes or beverages that benefit from subtle kaffir lime flavoring.
