Ingredients
- 1 pound uncured bacon
- 2 tablespoons brown monk fruit/allulose
- 2 tablespoons sugar-free maple syrup
- Pinch of cayenne pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F.
- Take strips of uncooked bacon and lay them out on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil (for easier cleanup) and a baking rack. Bake for 12 minutes, then blot the excess bacon fat with paper towels.
- Brush each piece with maple syrup, sprinkle with the cayenne pepper and top with a small amount of the brown sweetener.
- Bake for another 7-10 minutes (depending on the thickness of your bacon), but don’t walk away or get distracted. The bacon can go from perfectly done to burned it seconds!
- Allow to cool slightly before serving. The hot "sugary" coating can easily burn your fingers, so be careful!
