Keto Chili Recipe

Report
This Keto Chili Recipe combines browned ground beef with softened onion and red bell pepper, then simmers with canned crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, beef broth, and chili seasoning. The slow simmer develops a hearty, savory chili that fits a low-carb lifestyle. Optional toppings like shredded cheese and sour cream provide richness.

Description

The recipe starts by browning a mix of ground beef and optionally ground turkey to create a rich meat base. Diced onion and red bell pepper are cooked until softened to add sweetness and texture. Chili seasoning, crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, and beef broth are added to the pot, creating a robust broth infused with spices. After bringing to a boil, the chili is reduced to a simmer to allow flavors to meld and thicken over 30 minutes to an hour.

The end result is a thick, comforting chili that avoids typical high-carb ingredients like beans, keeping it aligned with ketogenic dietary needs. The beef provides hearty protein, while the tomato base and seasonings give depth. Serving options include toppings such as shredded cheese, sour cream, diced onions, or jalapeños to add creaminess, sharpness, or heat according to preference.

Ingredients

Servings
  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 crushed tomatoes 5 oz, canned, 14 oz
  • 1 can 14 oz of tomato sauce
  • 1 beef broth 14.5 oz, canned
  • 4 tablespoons chili seasoning you can make your own -recipe to come- or use a half of a packet
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1/2 onion chopped (can be frozen)
  • 1/2 red bell pepper chopped
  • cheese optional, or sour cream to serve

Instructions

  1. n a large stock pot, brown your ground beef or ground turkey. I love to use my Pampered chef mix n chop to break up the meat evenly. We normally do 1 pound of ground beef and one pound of ground turkey. I save money and no one can taste the difference.
  2. Add in the 1/2 onion and the red bell pepper and continue cooking until they are soft.
  3. Stir in the chili seasoning, crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce and beef broth.
  4. Bring to a boil.
  5. Then turn to low, add the lid and let simmer (stirring occasionally).
  6. Simmer for 30 minutes up to an hour to let all the flavors combine.
  7. Serve with shredded cheese, sour cream, diced onions and even jalapenos
