Keto Ham Cheese Breakfast Casserole

This breakfast casserole blends eggs, heavy cream, diced ham, cream cheese, and sharp cheddar baked until set. Cubes of cream cheese are distributed throughout, providing creamy pockets amid the savory flavors. The result is a firm yet tender custard topped with melted cheddar, delivering a rich and satisfying dish suitable for a hearty breakfast or brunch.

Description

The Keto Ham Cheese Breakfast Casserole combines beaten eggs and heavy cream seasoned with salt and pepper as the base. Cubed cream cheese is dropped evenly into this custard mixture before sprinkling diced ham and shredded sharp cheddar on top. Baking in a greased casserole dish at 350°F sets the mixture over 30-40 minutes until it springs back when pressed, indicating doneness.

The presence of cream cheese adds richness and creamy texture inside the casserole, contrasting with the dense cooked eggs and chewy ham pieces. The top cheddar layer melts and browns lightly, contributing a sharp finish and slight crust. This casserole slices easily for serving and provides a protein-packed option for mornings.

For a cheesier top, additional shredded cheddar can be added near the end of the cooking time, ensuring it melts without overcooking the casserole. The straightforward preparation allows for adaptable ingredients or additions while maintaining balanced flavors.
