Keto Tuna Salad

Keto Tuna Salad combines canned tuna with finely diced celery, red onion, and parsley. Bound by mayonnaise, mustard, and lemon juice, it results in a creamy, tangy mixture with fresh herbaceous notes. Easily adjusted for creaminess, this salad serves well as a low-carb protein option.

Description

The Keto Tuna Salad features drained flaked tuna mixed with fresh celery, red onion, and flat-leaf parsley for crispness and mild pungency. Mayonnaise serves as the creamy binder, with Dijon or stone-ground mustard and fresh lemon juice lending tang and subtle heat. Salt and black pepper season the salad to taste, balancing the flavors. The combination results in creamy spoonfuls featuring tender tuna flakes and crunchy vegetable bits that contrast in texture. This preparation suits keto or low-carb diets by focusing on protein and healthy fats without added carbs.

The salad is made by gently combining all ingredients, adjusting mayonnaise quantity to achieve a preferred creaminess. This flexibility lets the cook tailor the texture from lightly dressed to dense and creamy. The fresh parsley adds a herbal brightness complementing the citrus and mustard notes. Easily served chilled as a sandwich filling, on leafy greens, or with low-carb crackers.

Seasoning with salt and pepper to taste ensures balance, and finely mincing the onion and celery ensures an even texture. The recipe’s simplicity highlights the quality of each component, making this a dependable tuna salad for those following ketogenic guidelines.
