Key Lime Pie Smoothie
Description
This smoothie offers a dessert-inspired drink capturing the flavors of key lime pie through fresh lime juice and zest combined with creamy coconut milk and frozen banana and avocado. The frozen fruit components contribute thickness and smoothness, while the protein powder or vanilla Greek yogurt adds richness and body. A touch of sweetness comes from a Medjool date, balancing the tart lime flavors.
Spinach can be added for color and nutrients without altering the taste significantly. The finished smoothie can be enhanced with optional toppings such as coconut whip, lime slices, or crushed graham crackers, providing additional texture and a nod to the pie’s crust and topping.
This smoothie is blended on high speed until smooth and poured into a glass, making a refreshing, nutrient-rich treat that balances creamy, tangy, and sweet notes effectively.
