Ingredients

  • 500 g lamb Boneless, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 150 g yoghurt
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1- inch ginger grated
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp chilli powder adjust to taste
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • salt To Taste
  • Coriander For garnish
  • Lemon wedges For serving

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the yogurt, olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, grated ginger, ground cumin, ground coriander, turmeric powder, paprika, chili powder, garam masala, and a pinch of salt. Mix well to form a smooth marinade.
  2. Add the lamb pieces to the marinade and ensure they are well-coated. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
  3. Preheat your grill or oven to a high heat (around 220°C or 430°F).
  4. Thread the marinated lamb pieces onto skewers.
  5. Place the skewers on the grill or in the oven and cook for about 15-20 minutes, turning occasionally until the lamb is cooked through and has a nice char.
  6. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with lemon wedges.

Notes

  • You can adjust the level of spiciness by increasing or decreasing the amount of chilli powder to suit your taste.
  • If using wooden skewers, remember to soak them in water for 30 minutes before threading the lamb to prevent them from burning during cooking.
