Layered Taco Dip
Description
This dip starts with softened cream cheese beaten with taco seasoning, mixed with mayonnaise to create a flavorful and creamy base. The seasoned layer is spread at the bottom of a pie plate or serving dish and topped with chunky salsa. A generous layer of shredded Colby jack cheese covers the salsa, and green onions can be added for a fresh garnish. The dip is best served immediately to enjoy the distinct texture of each layer but can also be refrigerated until serving.
The combination of creamy, spicy, tangy, and cheesy layers provides a variety of tastes and textures, making it suitable as a snack or appetizer. The creamy base tempered with taco seasoning creates an approachable and flavorful contrast to the chunky salsa and melted cheese topping.
