Lemon Broccoli

Simple and fast, this Lemon Broccoli makes the perfect side dish. It is a delicious way to get in your greens!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb broccoli florets cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon grated lemon zest
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

Instructions

  1. Bring a few inches of water to a boil in a pan with a steamer basket. Add the broccoli to the basket, cover and cook until crisp tender, about 3 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile, in a large skillet, melt the butter. Add the lemon juice and cook for 30-60 seconds. Stir in the lemon zest, salt and pepper. Add the broccoli and toss to coat.
  3. Serve immediately.
