Lemon Drop Martini Recipe
Description
The Lemon Drop Martini Recipe uses vodka mixed with fresh lemon juice and a touch of simple syrup for sweetness along with Cointreau, a triple sec orange liqueur, to build layers of citrus flavor. A homemade lemon sugar rim adds a crunchy, sweet contrast to the crisp, chilled drink. The cocktail is prepared by shaking the ingredients with ice, ensuring a cold and well-mixed beverage. The garnish of a lemon twist or wedge further emphasizes the fresh lemon character. This martini offers a clean, tart profile balanced by the subtle orange notes from the liqueur and sweetness from the sugar rim.
The method includes preparing the lemon sugar by mixing granulated sugar with lemon zest to coat the glass rim. This carefully enhances each sip with bursts of lemony sweetness. Serving immediately after preparation preserves the coveted chilled temperature and prevents dilution. Ideal for occasions where a fresh, vibrant cocktail complements lighter fare or serves as a bright palate cleanser.
