Lemon Garlic Grilled Asparagus
Description
Lemon Garlic Grilled Asparagus begins with fresh trimmed asparagus tossed in lemon juice, olive oil, minced garlic, lemon zest, salt, and black pepper. The asparagus is then enclosed in foil packets, which trap steam and heat while grilling, cooking the spears evenly without drying them out. This method allows the asparagus to become tender but still maintain a slight firmness.
The flavor highlights bright citrus notes from the lemon juice and zest paired with aromatic garlic and a simple seasoning balance. The charcoal or gas grill imparts a subtle smoky nuance that complements the freshness of the asparagus. The foil wrap also makes for easy cooking and cleanup.
This side dish pairs well with grilled meats or seafood and can also be served as a nutritious addition to a light summer meal. Adjust grilling time depending on the thickness of the asparagus to achieve preferred doneness.
