Lemon-Herb Baked Trout Recipe

Lemon-Herb Baked Trout features whole trout seasoned inside and out, then stuffed with lemon slices and fresh parsley and dill. Olive oil lightly drizzled on top helps achieve a delicate, moist fish baked at 350°F then finished with a broil for light browning. The fish can be served hot or chilled, highlighting a bright citrus-herb flavor enhanced by simple seasoning.

Description

This Lemon-Herb Baked Trout Recipe prepares whole trout cleaned and seasoned with salt and pepper. Thin lemon slices and fresh parsley and dill are layered inside the fish for added aroma and flavor. A drizzle of light olive oil coats the top, and additional lemon slices give it a fresh lemony finish. The trout is baked at 350°F for 15 minutes, then broiled briefly to brown the skin lightly without drying out the fish. The result is a tender, flaky fish with citrus and herb notes.

The trout can be served immediately while hot or chilled for a cold dish. This flexibility makes it suitable both as a warm main dish or a lighter cold option for a summer meal. The simple ingredient list keeps the trout’s delicate flavor front and center.
