Lemon Pepper Chicken

Lemon Pepper Chicken features thinly sliced chicken breasts seasoned with a blend of flour, Italian herbs, black pepper, garlic powder, and salt. Pan-seared in butter and olive oil until golden, the chicken finishes cooking while basted with melted butter and a fresh lemon juice and zest sauce. It is garnished with minced parsley and served warm.

Description

The recipe mixes seasoning ingredients with flour to create a flavorful coating pressed onto both sides of thin chicken breast halves. Cooking begins with sautéing in a combination of butter and olive oil over medium-high heat to achieve a golden crust. The chicken is cooked through, reaching a safe internal temperature, while additional butter is melted in the pan near the end to enrich the flavor.

Fresh lemon juice and zest are added just before removing the chicken to the plate, and the pieces are turned to coat in the lemon-butter sauce, imparting brightness and richness. The dish is finished with fresh parsley for a touch of herbaceous color and mild flavor.

This dish pairs well with simple sides like steamed vegetables or rice and serves as a flavorful, approachable main course that combines savory seasoning with citrus brightness.
