Lemon Pepper Chicken Wings
Description
This recipe begins by drying the chicken wings thoroughly then coating them evenly with baking powder and kosher salt, which helps create a crisp skin when baked. The wings are arranged in a single layer on a parchment-lined baking sheet and roasted at 425℉, flipping halfway for even browning and thorough crisping. The internal temperature is monitored to reach 165ºF for safe consumption.
While baking, a sauce is prepared combining melted unsalted butter with honey, fresh lemon juice, and lemon pepper seasoning. After baking, the wings are coated or tossed in this tangy, mildly sweet, and peppery sauce, which complements the crispy skin and juicy interior. Garnishes like lemon wedges and parsley add freshness and presentation appeal. These wings work well as an appetizer or part of a casual meal with dipping sauces on the side.

- Prepare the lemon pepper seasoning while the wings are baking. Combine the melted butter, honey, lemon juice and lemon pepper in a bowl. Remove the chicken wings from the oven and either brush on the seasoned butter mixture or drizzle it over the wings and toss to coat.
