Lemon Pepper Parmesan Wings
Description
Lemon Pepper Parmesan Wings start with chicken wings seasoned with olive oil, lemon pepper seasoning, salt, and black pepper, then baked at 425°F for about 45 minutes, flipped halfway to ensure even cooking and crispy skin. Shortly before the wings finish cooking, the sauce is prepared by gently melting butter and combining it with olive oil, minced garlic, fresh lemon zest and juice, and grated Parmesan cheese. This sauce is then tossed with the cooked wings, coating them evenly with a buttery, garlicky, lemony, and cheesy glaze. Additional lemon pepper seasoning, Parmesan, and fresh lemon juice can be added for extra flavor and brightness. These wings offer a balance of crispy exterior and juicy interior with bright, savory, and rich notes from the seasoning and sauce. They work well served on their own or alongside other finger foods for casual gatherings or as a flavorful snack.
Ingredients
For the Wings:
- 2-3 dozen chicken wings
- 2-3 tablespoons olive oil
- 2-3 tablespoons lemon pepper seasoning Dalkin&Co brand
For the Sauce:
- 3 tablespoons butter unsalted
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 6 cloves garlic minced
- 1 lemon zested and juiced plus more for serving
- ¾ cup Parmesan Cheese plus more for garnish, freshly grated
- salt Kosher salt and freshly cracked, to taste
- black pepper Kosher salt and freshly cracked, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425 F. Pat dry wings and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Drizzle with olive oil and season with the Dalkin&Co Lemon Pepper Seasoning on both sides with a pinch of salt and pepper. Toss to combine.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes, flipping halfway through and adding extra seasoning if needed.
- Just before the wings are done, make the sauce by melting the butter in a small saucepan on low heat. Add the olive oil, garlic, lemon zest and juice and parmesan cheese. Once fragrant, remove from heat and toss onto cooked wings.
- Drizzle the sauce once the wings are out of the oven. Toss the wings so they’re all coated. Sprinkle some more Dalkin&Co Lemon Pepper Seasoning on top along with more parmesan cheese, fresh lemon juice and salt to taste.
Notes
- Use high-quality lemon pepper seasoning to enhance the citrus and pepper notes.
- Freshly grated Parmesan cheese offers better texture and flavor than pre-grated.
- Serve wings immediately after tossing in sauce to maintain crispness.
- Additional lemon juice can be added at the table for extra brightness.
