Lemon Water
Description
Lemon Water consists of cold water infused with slices of fresh lemon. Lemons are washed and thinly sliced, then added to a pitcher of cold water. For a stronger lemon flavor, the lemon slices may be gently mashed with a wooden spoon to release more juice into the water before refrigerating.
The infusion should be refrigerated for at least an hour to allow the lemon flavor to develop. Serving lemon water cold enhances its crisp and refreshing character. The beverage provides a mild citrus taste with natural aroma from lemon slices without added sweeteners or other ingredients.
Lemon water is suitable as a light flavored drink for hydration any time of the day. It is recommended to consume it on the same day it is made but can be refrigerated and used within three days while maintaining good flavor and freshness.
