Linguine Casserole

Linguine Casserole combines uncooked linguine, cooked ham, Swiss cheese, mushroom soup, sour cream, garlic, and onion into a baked pasta dish. The casserole is creamy and cheesy with the savory flavor of ham and garlic, baked until the cheese melts and surfaces with a golden top.

Description

This Linguine Casserole starts by cooking linguine pasta broken in half until al dente. The cooked pasta is then mixed with cubed, fully cooked lean ham, shredded Swiss cheese, condensed cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, crushed garlic, and chopped onion. These ingredients form a creamy mixture combining savory, cheesy, and slightly tangy elements from the soup and sour cream.

The combined mixture is transferred to a baking dish coated with cooking spray. It is baked covered at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 35 minutes to meld the flavors and soften the dish. Then it is uncovered and sprinkled with additional shredded Swiss cheese, followed by another 10 to 15 minutes of baking until the cheese on top melts and browns lightly.

The casserole delivers the soft texture of linguine mingled with the smoky ham, creamy mushroom sauce, and melted Swiss cheese, making for a rich and comforting baked pasta entree. It can be served as a main dish or part of a larger meal.
