These are the best baked beans you will make. This has been a recipe in the family for a long time now, and is from the Lion House Cookbook. These are always requested as a side, and are great for a BBQ!

Ingredients
- 1 pound Bacon
- 1 medium green bell pepper diced, about 1 cup
- 1 yellow onion diced, about 1 cup
- 4 15-ounce cans pork and beans
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Instructions
- In a pot cook the bacon over medium-high heat until it is cooked through. Remove the bacon from the pot, allow it to cool and cut it into small pieces.
- Drain all but 1 tablespoon of the bacon grease. Add the bell pepper and onion to the pot and cook until the vegetables are tender about 3-5 minutes.
- Add the bacon back to the pot along with the cans of pork and beans, ketchup, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce.
- Bring everything to a simmer, cover, and cook on low for an hour, stirring occasionally.
- Remove from heat and serve.
