Loaded Mashed Potatoes

Loaded Mashed Potatoes mix creamy mashed potatoes with sour cream, ranch dressing mix, cheddar cheese, crispy bacon, and green onions to create a flavorful, rich casserole. The dish is baked to warm through and melt the cheese on top, resulting in a comforting blend of creamy and cheesy textures accented by the smoky bacon and fresh onion bites. This dish works well as a hearty side for meals where extra richness and flavor are desired.

Description

This Loaded Mashed Potatoes recipe uses prepared mashed potatoes combined with sour cream and ranch dressing mix for added tang and seasoning. Shredded cheddar cheese is folded into the mixture along with cooked, chopped bacon and thinly sliced green onions for texture and flavor contrast. The mixture is spread in a casserole dish and baked at moderate heat until heated through, then topped with additional cheddar cheese and baked briefly again for a melted, golden topping.

The dish balances creamy mashed potatoes with savory ranch and cheddar, plus the smoky bacon bits and subtle onion sharpness. It is a warm, cheesy, and filling side, especially suited for holiday dinners or potlucks.

The recipe is straightforward and works well with premade mashed potatoes, making it accessible when you want to add flavor and heartiness quickly.
