London Broil Marinade

The London Broil Marinade is a mix of soy sauce, lemon juice, olive oil, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, garlic, Italian seasoning, black pepper, and salt. Designed to soak into cuts like London broil beef, it tenderizes while delivering a bright, savory, and herby flavor. After marinating, the meat can be grilled or broiled and sliced thinly.

Description

This London Broil Marinade combines acidic lemon juice and savory elements like soy and Worcestershire sauces with olive oil to create a flavorful bath for beef. Dijon mustard and garlic provide pungency and tang, rounded out by Italian herbs and pepper. The marinade enhances the beef by tenderizing with acid as well as seasoning it deeply.

After marinating for at least an hour or up to 24 hours, the beef is cooked to preference by grilling or broiling, then rested before slicing thinly against the grain to maximize tenderness. The result is beef infused with a balanced mix of umami, citrus brightness, and herbal aroma.

This marinade suits London broil or other similar beef cuts. It can be prepared ahead and adjusted to taste. The resting period after cooking allows juices to redistribute for a juicier final dish.
