Lover's Pasta with Tomato Cream Sauce

Lover's Pasta features pasta tossed in a tomato cream sauce made from diced tomatoes, tomato paste, chicken broth, cream, and aromatics like garlic and onion. Chili flakes add subtle heat while fresh basil and Parmesan finish the dish with aromatic and savory notes. The sauce simmers to develop depth and is combined with cooked pasta for a rich, comforting meal.

Description

This pasta combines olive oil and butter to sauté diced onion and garlic until softened, forming the flavor base. Diced tomatoes and tomato paste mix with chicken broth, red chili flakes, salt, and black pepper to create a simmering sauce that thickens and deepens in flavor over 15 minutes or longer.

After boiling pasta separately, heavy cream is stirred into the tomato sauce, enriching its texture and mellowing the acidity. The cooked pasta is then tossed in the sauce, allowing the flavors to meld together. Fresh basil provides a fragrant herbal note, and Parmesan cheese adds salty richness and melts slightly on the warm pasta.
