- 4 lices Bacon diced
- 1 medium onion diced fine
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 3/4 teaspoon Lawry's Seasoned Salt
- 1/2 teaspoon white pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 3 Tablespoon butter
- 3/4 cup cream
Instructions
- Squeeze liquid out of spinach.
- In a saucepan over a medium heat saute bacon 2 to 3 minutes. Add diced onion, and continue cooking until onion is translucent, about 3 minutes.
- Add butter and minced garlic and cook just until fragrant, and butter is melted.
- Add cream, spinach and spices and bring to a gentle boil. Reduce heat and cook about 5 minutes, until spinach is cooked and heated through.
- In batches, puree the spinach mixture until smooth and creamy. There will be bits of bacon and onion. Adjust seasoning to taste.
Notes
- This creamed spinach is great to make ahead. It actually tastes better the next day!
