Mango Iced Tea

Mango Iced Tea is a refreshing cold beverage blending English breakfast black tea with mango nectar and fresh fruit. Adding raspberries and optional mint garnish enhances the fruity profile and visual appeal. Steeping tea bags for 3 to 5 minutes allows control over strength, and chilling the mixture brings an invigorating summer drink.

Description

The Mango Iced Tea recipe begins by boiling water and steeping black tea bags to develop a rich tea base. Mango nectar is stirred in to provide natural tropical sweetness and mango flavor, complemented by optional honey as needed for additional sweetness. Fresh mango slices are added before chilling, contributing texture and intensified fruit taste. Raspberries stirred in just before serving add tartness and a contrasting texture.

This beverage balances the warm aromatic qualities of black tea with the lush sweetness of mango and bright berry accents. Chilling the tea allows flavors to meld while refreshing on warm days. The inclusion of mint sprigs offers a cooling herbal note as garnish, enhancing both aroma and appearance.

You can adjust the steeping time of tea bags to make a stronger or lighter tea depending on preference. Using mango nectar or juice affects sweetness level; nectar tends to be sweeter, which may reduce the amount of honey needed. The recipe suits casual gatherings or everyday hydration with a tropical twist.

Ingredients

Servings
  • 6 cups of water
  • 6 black tea bags (I used English breakfast tea)
  • 2 cups mango nectar or juice
  • honey optional, to taste
  • 1 1/2 cups Mango fresh, sliced
  • 2 cups raspberry
  • mint optional, sprigs for garnish

Instructions

  1. Bring the water to a boil then pour it into a heat safe pitcher. Add the tea bags and steep for 3-5 minutes or until desired level of strength.
  2. Stir in the mango nectar. Add honey to taste if desired.
  3. Add the mango slices, reserving a few for garnish if desired.
  4. Chill the tea in the refrigerator for at least one hour.
  5. Stir in the raspberries right before serving. Pour into glasses with ice and garnish with reserved mango slices and mint sprigs if desired.

Notes

  • Steep tea bags for 3 minutes for a lighter tea or 5 minutes for a stronger flavor.
  • Use mango nectar or mango juice; nectar is usually sweeter, so adjust honey accordingly.
