Mango Pico de Gallo Recipe
Description
This Mango Pico de Gallo Recipe features ripe mango diced finely and mixed with red onion, jalapeno peppers, and chopped fresh cilantro. Lime juice brightens the mix while salt can be added to taste to highlight the natural flavors. The texture offers a juicy softness from the mango balanced by the crunch of onion and the slight heat of jalapeno. Preparing the ingredients fresh and combining them just before serving keeps this salsa crisp and vibrant.
The mild spiciness from jalapenos pairs well with the sweetness of mango, creating a fresh, balanced salsa for summer dishes. It can accompany chips, grilled fish, or chicken, adding a fruity zest and refreshing contrast. Because the ingredients are fresh, chilling it in the fridge before serving allows the flavors to meld.
Different jalapeno preparations like pickled or fresh can affect the heat and flavor, and substituting cilantro with culantro offers a slight variation. Adjust salt to your preference to bring out depth. This salsa is best when served freshly made but can be refrigerated for a few hours before use.
