Mango Smoothie Recipe with Green Tea

This Mango Smoothie with Green Tea blends ripe mango, cooled green tea, frozen banana, and ice for a refreshing and creamy drink. The green tea adds subtle earthiness, balancing the sweetness of the fruit. A touch of honey can be added to adjust sweetness. It’s a vibrant smoothie ideal for a nourishing breakfast or snack with natural fruit flavors and mild tea undertones.

Description

The recipe begins by steeping green tea bags in boiling water and chilling the brewed tea to cool. Fresh mango flesh (or frozen) combines in a blender with ice, half a frozen banana for creaminess, and optional honey for sweetness. Once the tea is cooled and the bags removed, it is added to the blender and pureed until smooth, creating a thick, cold smoothie.

The mango contributes tropical sweetness and a juicy texture, while the frozen banana adds creaminess and natural body without overpowering the mango. Green tea adds a mild, slightly grassy note that contrasts pleasantly with the fruit. Honey can be included for added sweetness or omitted to keep the smoothie naturally sweetened by fruit alone.

This smoothie serves well immediately while chilled, refreshing on warm days or as a fruit-filled breakfast. Using frozen mango and banana accelerates preparation and thickens texture, while brewing tea in advance facilitates faster assembly.
