Description
The Manhattan Drink combines 1 1/2 ounces of bourbon or rye whiskey with 3/4 ounce of sweet vermouth and three dashes of Angostura bitters. The ingredients are poured over ice in a glass, stirred well to chill and mix flavors, then strained into a cocktail glass. A Luxardo or cocktail cherry is added as a garnish, contributing a subtle sweetness that complements the rich, woody character of the whiskey and the herbal sweetness of vermouth.
