Maple Glazed Pork Chops

Maple Glazed Pork Chops are boneless pork chops pan-seared until cooked through, then coated with a sauce made from real maple syrup, ketchup, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, garlic, and ginger. Simmering the sauce in the skillet creates a glossy glaze that enhances the natural flavor of the pork. Fresh thyme can be used as a garnish.

Description

This recipe starts by cooking pork chops in a skillet with neutral oil over medium-high heat until browned on both sides and fully cooked. Meanwhile, the glaze is mixed in a small bowl combining maple syrup, ketchup, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, minced garlic, and ground ginger.

After the pork chops are cooked, the glaze is poured into the skillet and simmered for several minutes, frequently spooning it over the chops to coat them thoroughly and allow the sauce to thicken slightly.

The finished pork chops have a sweet and tangy glaze with subtle spice from garlic and ginger. They pair well with steamed rice, roasted vegetables, or a fresh side salad. Garnishing with fresh thyme adds a herbaceous aroma and flavor just before serving.
