Maple Soy Grilled Salmon

Maple Soy Grilled Salmon marinates salmon steaks in a balanced blend of soy sauce, maple syrup, rice vinegar, and spices before grilling to enhance flavor and juiciness. The salmon is grilled with repeated glazing, creating a caramelized glaze with a sweet and savory profile complemented by ginger and garlic. A garnish of sesame seeds and green onions adds texture and freshness to the moist, flavorful fish.

Description

This recipe starts by whisking together soy sauce, maple syrup, rice vinegar, brown sugar, water, sesame oil, chili sauce, fresh ginger, garlic, and crushed red pepper flakes. Salmon steaks soak in this marinade for at least an hour, absorbing the combination of sweet, tangy, and spicy flavors. The fish is then grilled on a well-oiled surface, with the residual marinade brushed on during cooking to build a glossy, slightly sticky exterior that locks in moisture. Grilling for about four minutes per side cooks the salmon to a tender finish while creating a flavorful crust. Finally, the salmon is garnished with toasted sesame seeds and chopped green onions to add a delicate crunch and herbal brightness, making this dish a balanced mix of sweet, savory, and mildly spicy elements with a moist, flakey texture.
