Ingredients

Servings
  • 1 pie crust
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar , packed
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 1/4 cups maple syrup
  • 3 tablespoons butter melted, unsalted
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups walnuts , roughly chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees and line a 9" pie plate with the pie crust.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, flour, maple syrup, melted butter, and salt.
  3. Add in the eggs and vanilla extract and whisk until smooth.
  4. Add in most of the walnuts and stir.
  5. Pour into the pie plate, sprinkle with remaining walnuts.
  6. Bake for 40-45 minutes. If the pie starts to brown too quickly, tent the top of it with foil (make sure the foil is not touching the pie at all).
  7. Remove from oven when the filling is set and not liquidy, then let cool before slicing.
