Description
Matcha Kit Kat Bars start with vanilla wafers cut into finger shapes to replicate the classic candy form. The matcha chocolate coating is made by melting white chocolate and blending it with coconut oil for smoothness, then folding in sifted matcha powder for flavor and color. Each vanilla wafer finger is coated on one side with this matcha mixture and chilled until firm.
Once set, the wafers are flipped and coated on all sides, creating an even, glossy shell around the wafers. After a second chill to harden the coating, pairs are joined by applying additional matcha chocolate as adhesive between their flat sides to form two-finger "bars." This process captures the texture contrast between crisp wafers and creamy matcha-infused chocolate found in the original Kit Kat.

Ingredients
- 2 vanilla wafers
- 60 g white chocolate melted, chopped
- 1 ml coconut oil
- 1 tablespoon matcha powder sifted
Instructions
- Cut the 2 vanilla wafers in half lengthwise so you have 4 "finger" pieces.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, heat the white chocolate in 20-30 second increments until melted.
- Stir in the coconut oil and matcha powder until well combined.
- Use an offset spatula to coat the surface of the vanilla wafer "fingers" (this will now be the "bottom") with the matcha chocolate and repeat with the remainder.
- Place into the freezer or fridge for the matcha chocolate to set.
- Once set, flip the vanilla wafer "fingers" so the matcha chocolate side is on the bottom.
- Use an offset spatula to coat the surface and sides of the vanilla wafer with the remaining matcha chocolate.
- Pop the tray back into the freeze or fridge for the chocolate to set, about 5-10 minutes.
- To join the two matcha Kit Kats together, add a bit of matcha chocolate to the bottom of the Kit Kat fingers and "glue" together.
