Description
McDonald's Pancakes use all-purpose flour with baking powder as a leavening agent, sugar for subtle sweetness, and salt for balance. Eggs, milk, and vegetable oil create a smooth batter. The ingredients are combined gently to retain air bubbles, which produce a tender pancake.
Cooking on a medium-high griddle or skillet greased lightly allows batter to form pancakes that develop small bubbles on top, indicating readiness to flip. Cooking an additional two minutes on the other side ensures even browning and a cooked interior. The pancakes are soft and light with a mild flavor that pairs well with syrup or other toppings.
Leftover pancakes keep well refrigerated for about a week and can be frozen up to three months. They reheat quickly in a microwave or toaster, making them convenient for multiple meals.
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 Tbsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 egg large
- 2 cups milk
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
Instructions
- Stir all the ingredients together in a large mixing bowl by hand until just combined. Be careful not to over mix the pancake batter.
- Preheat a griddle, cast iron skillet or non stick skillet over medium high heat. Grease with a non-stick cooking spray or a small amount of butter.
- Add the batter to the pan in approximately 1/4 cup scoops.
- Cook for 2-3 minutes until small bubbles start to appear at the top of the pancake. Flip the pancake and finish cooking for approximately 2 more minutes until golden brown.
- Transfer the pancake to a plate and continue this process until all the batter is used.
- Then serve warm topped with your favorite pancake toppings and enjoy!

- Store leftover pancakes airtight in the refrigerator for up to 5-7 days.
- Freeze pancakes in freezer-safe bags for up to 3 months for longer storage.
