Meatloaf Sliders with Baconnaise
Description
Meatloaf Sliders with Baconnaise feature cooked meatloaf slices served on small slider buns toasted for firmness. The distinctive baconnaise is made by blending crispy oven-baked bacon crumbles with mayonnaise, creating a creamy, smoky spread that is applied to both the top and bottom buns. The slider assembly is completed with a sprinkle of crispy fried onions on the meatloaf, adding a crunchy texture to the meaty, soft slider.
The preparation includes baking bacon until crisp, blending it into a spread, warming the meatloaf slices, and toasting the buns to prevent sogginess. This layered combination ensures a contrast of textures and flavors. These sliders can be served as a satisfying appetizer or a quick, handheld meal.
Ingredients
- 4 lices meatloaf about 7-8 oz
- 4 slider buns or similar
- 3 oz mayonnaise
- 2 trips Bacon
- 2 oz fried onions such as French's, crispy
Instructions
- Cook the bacon on a Silpat Mat in a 350 degrees F. oven for 15 minutes or until crispy. Then crumble the cooked bacon into a small food processor, add mayonnaise and blend.
- Cut the buns in half horizontally if not already pre sliced.
- Toast the buns. This gives them a little more stability and they won't fall apart as easy. Spread the Baconnaise over the toasted buns, both tops and bottoms.
- Warm the pieces of Meatloaf in the microwave if they are not already warm. Place a piece of Meatloaf on the bottom bun, add crispy onions, then add the top of the bun. Enjoy!
