Mexican Tortilla Rollups
Description
The filling combines softened cream cheese and sour cream whipped smooth, then mixed with drained diced green chilies, chopped black olives, shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, and seasoned salt to create a creamy, flavorful spread. This mixture is evenly spread on large flour tortillas, which are then rolled tightly into logs.
Wrapping the rolls and refrigerating them for at least two hours, ideally overnight, helps the filling set firmly, making slicing straightforward without crumbling. The rollups can be cut into thin slices and served with salsa or as finger foods at gatherings.
Storing leftovers in the refrigerator is recommended, but freezing is discouraged because thawing can cause the rollups to become soggy.
