These Meyer Lemon Baked Doughnuts are are yeast risen, so there's no special pan required. They're sweet, tangy and taste just as good as the real thing!

Ingredients
For the Doughnuts
- 2 ½ teaspoons active dry yeast 1 packet
- 1 tablespoon plus ⅓ cup granulated sugar divided
- ¼ cup plus ½ cup warm milk not hot, divided
- 2 tablespoons melted butter plus more for brushing
- ¾ teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon Meyer lemon zest
- ½ teaspoon ground cardamom
- 2 ½ cups flour plus more as needed
For the Meyer Lemon Glaze
- 1 teaspoon Meyer lemon zest
- 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed Meyer lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons whole milk
- ¼ teaspoon cardamom
- pinch of salt
- 1 tablespoon melted butter
- 2 cups powdered sugar
