Mini Quiche Cups

Mini Quiche Cups are bite-sized puff pastry shells filled with a classic mixture of eggs, milk, ham, cheddar cheese, and Italian herbs. Their flaky, golden pastry exterior and creamy, savory filling make them ideal as snacks, appetizers, or part of a breakfast spread. The combination of cheese and ham adds richness and texture contrast, while the herbs give subtle aromatic depth.

Description

These mini quiche cups start with puff pastry cut into squares and pressed into a muffin tin to form individual crusts. The filling is a simple whisk of eggs, milk, salt, pepper, and Italian herbs, poured into each shell about two-thirds full, then topped with diced ham and shredded cheddar cheese. Baking at 400°F sets the filling and crisps the pastry edges until golden and puffed.

The result is a flaky pastry case containing a tender, custard-like filling studded with savory ham and melted cheese. The Italian herb blend adds gentle fragrance that ties the ingredients together without overpowering. These cups are easy to eat warm or at room temperature, making them versatile for brunch, parties, or snack occasions.

For freezing, bake as directed, cool slightly, then flash-freeze the quiches uncovered on a tray until firm before storing them together in an airtight container or bag. This prevents freezing together or forming ice crystals. They can then be baked from frozen or thawed before serving, allowing convenient advance preparation.
