Mississippi Pork Roast
Description
The recipe involves placing a pork tenderloin in a slow cooker with ranch seasoning mix, au jus gravy mix, butter, and peperoncini peppers. Cooking on low for 8 to 9 hours allows the pork to become very tender and infused with the savory flavors of the seasonings and the subtle tang from the peppers. After cooking, the meat is shredded and mixed with the flavorful juices, resulting in a moist, richly seasoned pulled pork.
This pork can be served as a sandwich meat on hamburger buns or Hawaiian slider rolls, often accompanied by provolone or other preferred toppings. Additionally, it can be served over rice or made into pork salads, offering versatile meal options.
The peperoncini peppers lend a distinctive savory note without adding heat. Some cooks add a splash of the pepper juice for extra flavor. Leftover pork can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to four days, making it practical for meal prep or leftovers.
