Mocha Coffee Smoothie
Description
The recipe starts by dissolving instant coffee, sugar, and cocoa powder in hot water to create a mocha base. When using espresso shots, water is omitted. This base is combined in a blender with almond milk and ripe bananas, which add natural sweetness and creaminess. Ice is added to chill and thicken the smoothie.
Blending until smooth produces a creamy texture with a harmonious balance of coffee bitterness, cocoa richness, and banana sweetness. The almond milk acts as a dairy-free option but can be substituted with other milk alternatives or dairy milk as preferred.
Enjoy this smoothie as a morning energizer or afternoon pick-me-up. It serves as an alternative to hot coffee drinks, especially when a cold, creamy beverage is desired.
