Description
Mom's Canned Salmon Dip uses three 15-ounce cans of well-drained boneless, skinless salmon combined with room-temperature cream cheese and horseradish. The ingredients are processed together until mostly smooth, ensuring the mixture is evenly combined. Salt and black pepper are added to taste to enhance the flavor without overpowering the salmon’s natural taste.
The dip is chilled before serving, which allows the flavors to meld and the texture to firm slightly. It pairs well with chopped fresh vegetables and crackers, providing a creamy yet lightly tangy spread that is easy to prepare from pantry staples.
Ingredients
- 15 oz canned salmon 3 cans, boneless and skinless
- 8 oz cream cheese at room temperature
- 1 1/2 tablespoons horseradish
- salt to taste
- black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Open and drain salmon well. Remove any larger bones. (A few small skinny ones are fine.)
- Empty salmon into a food processor. Add in cream cheese, horseradish, salt and pepper.
- Blitz until mostly smooth and combined. Scrape sides to ensure everything is well blended.
- Scrape into serving bowl and refrigerate covered until ready to serve. Serve with chopped veggies and/or crackers.
