Monster Cookies Recipe

Monster Cookies combine creamy peanut butter, oats, and two types of chocolate chips to create chewy, hearty cookies with rich texture and sweet bursts. Softened butter and sugars provide a tender crumb, while the addition of raisins is optional for extra chewiness and natural sweetness. Baking soda ensures a light rise for a soft but sturdy cookie.

Description

The Monster Cookies Recipe mixes softened unsalted butter with granulated and brown sugars for a creamy base, then incorporates peanut butter for flavor and moisture. Eggs and vanilla bring structure and aroma, followed by flour, quick-cook oats, and baking soda to create chewy texture and a subtle rise. Two varieties of chocolate pieces—semi-sweet chips and mini chocolate baking bits or M&M'S—add varied chocolate bursts throughout each cookie. Optionally, raisins can be added for a contrast of sweetness and chew.

Baked at 350°F until lightly browned on top, these cookies come out chewy and soft with a slightly crisp edge. Using a 2-tablespoon scoop ensures even-sized cookies for uniform bake times. They suit dessert or snack occasions where a filling, chocolate and peanut buttery cookie is desired.

Cookies store well in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. Baking in advance and freezing allows longer storage, with thawing at room temperature before serving. Using homemade vanilla extract enhances cookie flavor.
